Your PDFs never leave your computer. Kazi PDF opens, edits and saves documents entirely inside your browser. Nothing you open is uploaded, and we never see your files, their contents or their names.
What stays on your computer
To remember your choices, the app keeps a few things in your browser's own storage:
- your preferences, such as theme, units, colours and your author name;
- signatures you chose to save for reuse;
- the list of recently opened files (a link to each file, not a copy of it).
They never leave this browser. Clearing the site's data in your browser settings removes them. The app does not keep copies of your documents.
Crash reports
If the app runs into an error, it can send a short crash report so we can fix the problem. A report contains only:
- the type of error and where in the app's code it happened;
- the app version, and the browser and operating system names;
- the names of the last few commands used, such as "Save" or "Zoom In".
A report never includes your documents or anything from them: no text, annotations, form entries, file names, signatures or images. Before a report is sent, its error message is cleaned of anything that could come from a document. Reports carry no identifier for you or your device. Up to five reports are sent per session.
To turn crash reports off, open the app and go to Options › Preferences, then clear Send anonymous crash reports.
This website
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, the host receives standard request information, such as your IP address, when your browser downloads a page. We use no analytics, cookies or tracking scripts, and the fonts are served from this site.
The site tells your browser not to let the app connect to any other website (a Content Security Policy). The only exception is the crash-report service, which the app contacts only to send a crash report, and never when you have turned reports off.
Payments
If you buy a paid plan, the payment is handled by our payment provider, which receives the details needed to take the payment, such as your email address and card details. We never see your full card number.
